Monaco frustrated by Bordeaux

Monaco extended their unbeaten run under Leonardo Jardim to six matches with a 1-1 draw with Bordeaux at Stade Louis II.

Colombia striker Radamel Falcao scored his 12th club goal of the season three minutes after the interval, heading in to the opposite corner from a right-wing cross by Fodé Ballo-Touré.

Falcao, though, was the villain for Bordeaux’s 65th-minute equaliser, handling in the area and – after consultation with VAR – giving away the penalty that allowed Jimmy Briand to score from the spot.

In its wake, the Monegasques could have caught another goal but it was missed by Karamoh.

It was a thrilling last few minutes as Carlos Vinicius scored on a rebound from Radamel Falcao, but his goal was deemed offside (86’).

The draw puts ASM move into 17thplace with 27 points, six points ahead of Dijon.
