Young soccer star, Anthony Martial, has been accused of changing after his move from Monaco to Manchester United by his ex-wife Samantha Jacquelinet.

The 20-year-old was thrust into the spotlight this time last year after the Red Devils agreed a deal worth a potential £58 million to sign him from AS Monaco. He was forced to relocate with almost no notice and brought his wife and newborn baby with him, givemesport.com reports.

But while Martial started to flourish on the pitch for the Red Devils, his relationship with Samantha started to break down. His new lifestyle, bolstered by a massive weekly wage, only served to destroy the close connection they shared. Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Ms Jacquelinet claimed Martial struggled to deal with the attention he was getting from girls, eventually leading to the alleged affair he had.

She said: “Everything changed. Footballers in England are like kings. They have so much money and attention it’s like they live in a different world. He was thrust into the limelight and it all just exploded. Young girls were throwing themselves at him.”

Finally, Jacquelinet revealed that Martial has so far refused to give her much of his fortune despite being the mother of his only child. The £95,000-a-week star is accused of offering to give her just £3,000 every month, a figure she is clearly unhappy with.

She said: “When we split I tried to work things out. He said I only wanted him for his money.

“But he was so stingy. Anthony told me he would rent a house for me. I found one outside Paris, but when I got the keys he said he was only going to give me £3,000 a month.
“He earns £420,000 every month.
“Anthony has changed completely from the modest, shy and loving young man I met in Monaco and I firmly believe if we’d stayed there then we would still be together.”

Kylian Mbappe, Monaco’s 17 year-old forward, was hospitalised on Friday night after the home game against Guingamp suffering from what the club later announced as concussion. A scan indicated no long-term damage but he stayed in hospital overnight as a precaution. The neurologist will decide when he can return to play.

The Red & Whites were two goals down at half time before clawing back two goals for a draw in this the first game of the new Ligue 1 season. Subasic in goal thwarted several attempts from Guingamp, with Privat, Salibur and Briand making three attempts in quick succession.

The team will play Villarreal on August 17 in the Champions League Play-Offs.

Burkini ban upheld by tribunal

Feiza Ben Mohamed, a spokesperson for the Muslim Federation of the South of France, has expressed great surprise at a decision by an administrative tribunal to uphold a ban on the so-called burkini on beaches in Cannes, an ordinance issued July 28 by Cannes Mayor David Lisnard “on the grounds that burkinis, which are popular with Muslim women, could risk disrupting public order while France was the target of terrorist attacks”

“This suggests that women when covered are affiliated with terrorism,” Ben Mohamed said.

The federation, who posted on Facebook “We strongly condemn the illegal and abusive use of such procedures for the unique purpose of stigmatisation and exclusion”, will now take the case to the Council of State to overturn the ruling, introduced by the town’s mayor. “One can’t invoke the war against terror in banning the burkini. “Such a ruling masks the inability of our elected officials to take concrete and effective measures against terrorism,” she added.

On August 5, the mayor of Villeneuve-Loubet, Lionnel Luca also imposed a burkini ban on his beaches. Mandelieu-la-Napoule passed the by-law in … 2014.

As the Monaco Government continues with its promotion of e-government, state workers affiliated to the Medical Benefits Service (SPME) can now apply for reimbursement of medical bills in a secure electronic format directly from the medical practitioner’s office.

In the interests of security, none of the data are stored on the IT system of the practitioner and information is sent immediately to start the refund process.

SPME policyholders will no longer have to provide paper copies and the reimbursement period is between five and 10 days. Individuals will not have to make any other claim for repayment of medical expenses as they arise, the government says.

Kelly Rutherford regains residuals

Kelly Rutherford, the American actress who fought a long and costly battle for the custody of her two Monaco-based children, has paid $15,000 to regain rights to her residual income from the Gossip Girl series in which she starred. She declared bankruptcy in 2013 after paying out $1.5 million in legal fees in a tug-of-war with ex-husband German entrepreneur Daniel Giersch, a Monaco resident.

Her creditors have earned about $174,000 over the last three years. Rutherford, 47, has a nine-year old son, Hermes, and a younger daughter, Helena, with Giersch. The actress was still pregnant with Helena when she divorced her husband. The custody battle was particularly vicious and at one point Rutherford kept the two children in the US at the end of the summer after they were supposed to return to their father in the Principality.

A judge in Monaco granted Girsch custody of the children in a court hearing late last year and although Rutherford can visit the children in Monaco she is not allowed to take them to the US.
