Aston Martin to debut at yacht show

aston-martin-quintessence-am37Aston Martin’s highly anticipated move into the marine industry is only weeks away with the luxury carmaker revealing that its first powerboat, the AM37, will make its world debut in Monaco at the end of this month.
But the auto manufacturer continues to keep most of the details of the AM37 a closely guarded secret, Steve Laguye writes in boatadvice.com.
What it has revealed is that the Aston Martin AM37, which will be available in two different model variations, will have the same colour palette option as the Aston Martin cars.
The first AM37 will be painted in one of the most spectacular shades on the Aston Martin palette, ocellus teal – maritime, which , according to the luxury car manufacturer, is a contemporary colour that merges paint technology and the latest trends to create an eye-catching and subtle visual effect.
A vast choice of colours will enable each AM37 to be personalised by its owner and even provide them with the opportunity to have a matching Aston Martin car and boat.
James Hall, sales director for Quintessence Yachts – Aston Martin’s marine partner, said that while offering a metallic finish on yachts was not new, the range of colours has been limited until now.
“Being able to select from the Aston Martin range allows AM37 owners to create a genuinely unique vessel which stands out from the crowd and is exceptionally personal,” Mr Hall said.
Although the colours will be the same, the makeup of the paint will be to marine specifications using a special system that will ensure the highest possible standards of durability and quality.
The Aston Martin AM37 will make what is sure to be a spectacular debut at the Monaco Yacht Show that will run from September 28 to October 1.

AS Monaco won again on Saturday, this time 3-0 at home to Stade Rennais. The latest victory marked seven wins in a row confirming Monaco’s best offensive record in Ligue 1 for 29 years, 13 points taken from a possible 15.
The Rennes game was the Red and White’s tenth competitive fixture of the season. While they lost the first of those against Fenerbahçe in the Champions League 3rd qualifying round, they have since gone nine matches unbeaten. In Ligue 1, the defeat of Rennes was their fourth win in a row, something they had not previously done since December 2014. In all competitions, Leonardo Jardim’s men have now won their last seven games, their best run since December 2004-January 2005 (also seven games).
The latest win puts ASM in the lead in France’s Ligue 1, three points ahead of PSG, Nice and Metz, all three on 10 points ahead of Sunday games.
Saturday’s game also allowed Radamel Falcao to get back on track with a goal in the 41st minute from a cross by Germain. Monaco remained very much on top of the game in the second half, and after Falcao and Germain were taken off for a rest, Lemar scored twice in added time. The next game is an away derby against Nice on Wednesday.

International law firm Ince & Co celebrated five years of practice in Monaco last week with a celebratory event for clients and staff at The Monte Carlo Beach Hotel.
The team provides English law advice, with a particular focus on shipping, yachting, offshore energy, international trade, the carriage of goods by sea and aviation. The majority of the office’s clients are based in Monaco, Italy, France, Switzerland, the Mediterranean and West Africa.
In the five years since it opened, the Monaco office, led by Managing Partner Ian Cranston, who has been advising clients in the region for over 20 years, has grown from two fee-earners and one business support staff, to four permanent fee-earners, a regular trainee secondment from the firm’s London office and two business support staff. In January 2015, Ince & Co announced that its Monaco office was relocating to new premises within the Gildo Pastor Centre to accommodate this growth.
Ian Cranston took the opportunity to thank the office’s clients and congratulate the members of his team. He said: “Since our launch in August 2011, our Monaco office has more than doubled in size and continues to secure instructions on a number of high profile deals and cases for clients based around the world. I am proud of what we have achieved and attribute our ongoing success to the loyalty of our clients and the commitment of our team who have supported the firm over the past five years.”
