The Marrakesh Conference on Global Warming is currently being held in Morocco, ending on November 18, very much with the participation of Monaco. This is the 22nd Conference of the Parties (COP22) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. A total of 196 states participated.
HSH Prince Albert was accompanied by a delegation, including Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, Environment and Urban Development, who delivered a speech on Tuesday at the WHO Ministerial Summit on Health, Environment and Climate Change.
She expressed the hope that the meetings of COP22 could lay the foundation for fruitful collaboration between the health and environment sectors, and assured Margaret Chan, Director-General of WHO, of the unwavering support of the Principality.
On Sunday, Prince Albert presented the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Award to Blue Carpet4climate change action.

At the closing of the Monaco Business trade fair on Tuesday, November 15, Mr Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, presented the Prince’s Government Award for the creation of a company, organised by the Junior Chamber of Economy of Monaco, to a young Monegasque.
The jury, composed of representatives from the private and public sectors, chose this year to support the business creation project entitled “THOODY”, led by Alexis Lanari and her future partner, both students at École Centrale of Lille.
The young winner will benefit from financial aid of €40,000 and the support of advisors and professionals who will be able to advise during the launch of the company.
The fledgling business concept is centred on developing mobile applications for all devices, for both individuals and companies. Initially, they will launch their product on the local market, then they want to quickly expand their company internationally. It is in this respect, in particular, that the Principality represents a real springboard for these young entrepreneurs, the Government said.
Mr Castellini congratulated all of the candidates who, this year again, had energetically carried out innovative and varied projects. He also emphasised the regular support given by the Government of Monaco to the initiatives of the Junior Chamber of Economy of Monaco.

With suitable seasonal timing, Joel Robuchon has launched a chocolate bar in the lobby of the Hotel Metropole, the top-end hotel with which he has been associated as a chef for more than 14 years.
Chocolate is available in all its forms and in many variations. And while the star chef’s interest in the dark gold is almost entirely that of a gourmand, he also advocates chocolate for health reasons.
“For me, four squares of chocolate of 100 percent cocoa a day are very good for the heart,” he said on Tuesday, when the service started.
The chocolate bar is open daily from 3 pm to 6 pm.
