Family Karaoke Day Sunday at Stars’n’Bars

karaAs part of its free monthly series of wellness events, Stars’n’Bars is hosting Family Karaoke Day on Sunday. Singers of all ages can participate from 1 pm to 6 pm at the Stardeck.

Special musical guests to help get the mic rolling will be the Monegasque group, “Les Chœurs du Rocher”.

“Singing can be a great family activity,” commented Kate Powers, co-founder of the port-side sports café said, “and it fits well into our monthly program of bringing together people of all ages to learn more about wellness, whether for the body, mind … or the wellness of our planet.” Plus, Kate pointed out, singing and music have been proven to be a great natural antidepressant with no bad side effects.

Participants do not need to sign up in advance for Family Karaoke Day Sunday, March 5, but can reserve a table at the StarDeck by calling: +377 97 97 95 95.

Vintage Rocks at Queen Bee this week

The Queen BeekatieThe dêpot-vente for pre-loved luxury and vintage goods, the Queen Bee, is hosting a Vintage Rocks pop up at its Beausoleil boutique from March 7 to 9.

“I try to have a pop up shop invited guest once a month, Queen Bee owner, Katie Holmes (pictured), told Monaco Life. “it not only gives the guest a chance to let their brand be know, but it also brings in new customers and generates great interest”

Renowned brands – Christian Dior, Givenchy, Monet, Panetta, Rebajes, Sarah Coventry, Whiting and Davis, to name a few – will be on display, as well as many unsigned jewels dating back to 1930 until 1990, offering fashionistas a chance to purchase a timeless piece from €30.

With over 20 years as a fashion and French television stylist, Ms Holmes’s dynamic personality and exceptional skills caught the attention of many leading names in fashion, including Spanish Vogue, Paris Match and Greek Harpers Bazaar. During here career, she also co-ordinated and styled fashion shows for fashion designers Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein, and she styled the Sotheby’s catalogue for the New York sale of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor’s private wardrobe.

“Vintage Rocks has a fantastic selection of jewellery at very reasonable prices,” Ms Holmes, who opened her shop in 2014, added.

Open Monday though Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm, the Queen Bee is located at Place de la Crémaillère.
