The 29th meeting of members of the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) attracted some 250 people on Monday, June 12, at the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel, where the deck provided an ideal setting for networking.

Among several topics, MEB President Michel Dotta spoke about the forthcoming economic missions to Tel Aviv, Astana and Tunis that will all take place by mid-July.

Mr Dotta also talked about the two economic missions that accompanied the official visits of Prince Albert, as well as MEB 20 members, to Slovakia and Moldova from May 1 to 5. He emphasised the exceptional support that the presence of the Sovereign represents “that opens all doors to us”.

Another topic of Monday’s gathering that brought together more than 20 business and professional sectors was the promotion of financial activities carried out in London from the beginning of the year. This was executed in partnership with Monaco For Finance, led by Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy.

For the second consecutive year, a “connections night” at the Monte-Carlo Country Club on Thursday, June 1, was dedicated to healthcare start-ups during the e-HealthWorld Monaco congress.

This competition for evaluating start-ups enabled e-HealthWorld to bring together in Monaco major players in the digital ecosystem with companies in the making and those whose reputation is already established. In addition, besides offering recognition of their relevance and international visibility, the concourse helps to support start-ups in their development.

Ten startups selected by an independent jury of e-health professionals pitched 3-minute presentations of their projects, the order of which was determined randomly by the Pepper robot. A total of 131 participants voted.
