Monaco’s digital security team takes part in international forum

Frédéric Fautrier, Deputy Director of the Monegasque Digital Security Agency (AMSN), and Bruno Valentin, Head of Mission in the team, have just attended the 30th annual meeting of the Forum of Incident Response Team Security (FIRST), held in Kuala Lumpur from June 24 to 29.

Founded in 1990, FIRST, of which AMSN has just been admitted as a member, is an association that brings together digital security emergency response teams from over 425 government agencies, universities, businesses and other institutions in 86 countries.

It promotes cooperation between response teams in the event of a serious digital security incident.

The FIRST meeting was followed on June 29-30 by the 13th Annual Technical Meeting of Digital Security Incident Response Teams with National Responsibility.

Organised by the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute, the meeting addressed current issues, tools, methods and regulations applicable to computer security incident response teams.

Last few places available for special Gold of the Pharaohs tour

Grimaldi Forum

Monaco’s very active British Association (BAM) said on Tuesday, July 10, that there were still a small number of places available for the Gold of the Pharaohs private guided tour at Grimaldi Forum, due to take place on Thursday, July 12.

The Grimaldi Forum’s summer exhibition features more than 150 masterpieces on loan from the Museum of Cairo, including sumptuous ensembles (sarcophagi and funeral masks, gold and jewels, liturgical items and tableware). BAM has arranged a private guided tour of the exhibition at 17:00 on July 12, followed by drinks on the private terrace of the Rose des Vents Restaurant.

MEB’s Ambassador’s Lunch devoted to Vietnam’s economic potential

With the Monaco Economic Board’s economic mission to Vietnam approaching in November, about fifty economic players from the Principality attended an Ambassador’s Lunch on Tuesday, July 10, and heard about the south-east Asian country’s phenomenal growth and potential for inward investment.

His Excellency Mr Thiep Nguyen, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to France and Monaco, spoke about the economic attractiveness of his country which is today inhabited by 91 million people.

Regarding business opportunities for Monegasque entrepreneurs, the Vietnamese Ambassador pointed out that finance, renewable energy and health were promising sectors. He added: “The Principality of Monaco is known in Vietnam. Its vivacity, its attractiveness and especially its history are models to follow.”

At the end of the meeting, Mr Djivan Djierdjian, Executive Director of SIAMP – CEDAP, a member company of MEB that has been working in Vietnam since 1998, also came to testify about the potential of the country. The MEB tour of Vietnam will accompanying the official visit of HSH Prince Albert II.

Little Singers make first stop in Bangkok on Asian tour

This year the Little Singers of Monaco gave the first recital of their summer tour at the auditorium of Assumption College in Bangkok, Thailand, to an audience of 1,500.

The young Monaco choristers had previously been invited to give a performance at the Royal Sports Club in Bangkok at a reception held in their honour by the Honorary Consul General of Monaco in Thailand.

The Little Singers of Monaco have contributed to the artistic and spiritual life of the Principality since 1974. Under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II, they travel the world for concert tours, representing the Principality and always leaving a lasting and positive impression.

The Bangkok concert was the first leg of a tour that is taking the Little Singers from Monaco to Vietnam, South Korea and Japan until July 26.

On Tuesday, July 10, Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, visited the new premises of the MAD Arts Centre (Monaco Arts + Dance), which has permanently moved from the Promenade Honoré II to 10 Avenue de la Costa.

MAD specialises in dance, singing, music, fitness, and music, with group and individual lessons. A programme of 210 courses is run each year, allowing all ages to follow the courses and the level most suited to his or her interests.

“From babies to adults, we will have a class for you,” MAD says. “MAD collaborates with specialists in each discipline to bring you the best, intended primarily for amateurs wanting to improve in their discipline.”

Activities include: Dance: Classical, Modern Jazz, Contemporary, Street Jazz, Hip Hop, Taps. Singing: Modern Song or Choir. Music: Piano Lessons, Guitar Lessons and the Do, Re & “Me” Method for Musical Awakening. Fitness: Yoga, Pilates, Bars, Zumba, and Fit Dance.

“A terrace of 130 square metres enables us to offer collective yoga outdoors from Spring to Autumn. Come watch the sunrise and sunset during our yoga classes.”
