Commemoration Committees of Prince Albert I and the Executive Committee Albert I – 2022 were installed yesterday by HSH the Sovereign Prince.

The ceremony took place at the Oceanographic Museum, in the presence of the Minister of State and many personalities.

Created by Sovereign Order 7253 of 14 December 2018, Prince Albert Commemoration Committee I is responsible for the study and the organisation of events planned to celebrate the life and work of Prince Albert I, between 2019, year of the centenary of the creation of the International Commission for the Scientific Exploration of the Mediterranean Sea, and 2022, year of the centenary of its disappearance.

Under the chairmanship of HE Mr. Robert Fillon, the Executive Committee will work towards the implementation of the programme and the implementation of the events.

In his speech, HSH the Sovereign Prince emphasised: “I am convinced that a good celebration of the work of Prince Albert I st can be that like this: varied in form as in It should be addressed to different audiences: the academic world, the curious of the history of science, international relations, pacifist militancy, and all those who are interested in the Principality to another, not to mention the students and students of our schools, and of course I expect them to use the most modern production and distribution techniques, without abandoning the traditional media when they become better adapted.”

The energy transition at the heart of the concerns of the Prince’s Government

The Minister of State spoke at a breakfast with the press, about the Prince’s Government’s policy on energy transition.

He was surrounded by Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Government Counselor-Minister of Equipment, Environment and Urbanism, and Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux, Director of the Mission for the Energy Transition (MTE).

Serge Telle spoke about the issues relating to climate change: “They are extraordinarily difficult to grasp, the commitment must be both individual and societal, and the National Pact gives the people and businesses the ability to contribute, to their MTE’s role is to coordinate all public policies, because there is no political decision that has no impact on ecology. Your mission, Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux, is to make coherent, at the national level, the commitments that the Sovereign takes on the international level.”

Marie-Pierre Gramaglia then recalled the main thrusts of her biodiversity policy and the significant actions put in place by the MTE: “It is vital that we succeed, together, in our energy transition for a better quality of life in the Principality, an economic development compatible with the planetary limits and a responsible inheritance to our children.”

Finally, Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux recalled the objectives of the MTE and said: “We must accelerate the potentials and, for that, the digital and the Interministerial Delegation for the Digital Transition, with which we work in close association, will help us. digital and energetic transitions are convergent.”

On Wednesday, January 30th, HSH the Sovereign Prince inaugurated two new fully renovated services: the new sampling site of the laboratory and the new Blood Transfusion Center.

The Prince was accompanied by was accompanied by Didier Gamerdinger, Councilor of Government-Minister of Social Affairs and Health, André Garino, President of the Board of Directors of the Princess Grace Hospital and its Director Benoîte de Sevelinges.

The new sampling site of the biology laboratory, which hosts more than 100 patients per day, now covers 200 square metres. It has almost doubled in size, with more spacious boxes and generally more ergonomic design that will afford patients more privacy.

The new site of the Blood Transfusion Center, which reintegrates its historic premises at level -1 after many months of work, offers a space dedicated to the donation of blood. Clear and bright, it can accommodate 1200 annual donors (for a little over 1800 donations per year).

AS Monaco came close to securing a final place in the Coupe de la Ligue, competing against Guingamp.

Monaco, playing away from home, had Vainqueur sent off in the 15th minute. Despite the uphill battle, Monaco scored two goals within ten minutes of the sending off. The team went in 2-0 up at half time, thanks to goals from Rony Lopes and Aleksandr Golovin.

Guingamp came back with two goals in the second half, taking the tie to penalties.

Guingamp won the penalty shoot-out.
