Sportel Monaco announces international expansion

Ahead of its 2024 edition at the Grimaldi Forum in October, Sportel has announced its plans for global expansion that include events for industry professionals, athletes and fans in New York and Miami.

Sportel, a leading event for sports media rights and technology professionals, is set to broaden its international reach with two events in the United States of America following its Sportel Monaco convention, which will take place from 28th to 30th October at the Grimaldi Forum.

In a notable shift from its traditional format, Sportel will launch Sportel Talks New York on 16th December. The event will be held alongside the Sports Video Group Summit NYC.

Laurent Puons, Managing Director of Sportel, says of the news, “New York has always been a destination wish list for us to host an event. SVG has been a respected partner and parallel industry driver for many years, and it was a natural next step to co-locate this new short Sportel format at their flagship New York event.”

Looking further ahead, Sportel will be heading to Miami for Sportel America from 1st to 2nd April 2025. This two-day summit at the JW Marriott Miami will target key decision-makers in media rights, TV networks, streaming platforms and sports tech companies.

Agnes Marsan, Executive Director of Sportel Miami, says, “We are thrilled to announce the much-anticipated return of Sportel America to its historic home, Miami. We look forward to reuniting the global sports media and tech industry in this vibrant and iconic location.
