With the US Presidential Elections fast approaching, the Monaco USA association has announced it will be putting on a party at La Rascasse and people of all backgrounds, nationalities and political persuasions are invited to join. Here are all the details.

The 2024 US Presidential Elections will see Democratic nominee and current Vice President Kamala Harris take on Republican hopeful Donald Trump. If she wins the race, Harris will become the country’s first woman to ever be elected to office, while Trump is gunning to be the first US President since Grover Cleveland in 1892 to be elected for two non-consecutive terms. Even for those not particularly interested in politics, or without ties to the USA, this election is set to be historic, and one no one wants to miss.

Monaco USA will be marking the occasion with a big bash at La Rascasse in Port Hercule from 6pm until 8pm on 5th November. Guests will enjoy live television coverage of the election, along with a tombola and other entertainment as the world waits to see who will become the next President of the United States.

The following morning, at 8.30am and once the last vote has been counted, the association will sponsor a “celebrate or commiserate” results event at Marius Monaco.

MONACO USA

The organisation, which was created at the behest of Princess Grace in 1973, has long provided a link between Americans, Monegasques and the international community-at-large in Monaco and the south of France. Its members regularly host social events, including monthly networking Happy Hours and more typically America-themed occasions, such as parties on 4th July, Thanksgiving and for Super Bowl Sunday.

Monaco USA members also take part in charity events in the Principality, such as No Finish Line, the Livestrong Monaco Challenge, the Telethon, Monaco’s Annual Ecumenical Kermesse and the Special Olympics. The association often interacts with other international groups and clubs, from the British and Canadian Associations to the American Club of the Riviera and the Riviera Business Club.

Night roadworks on Boulevard du Larvotto

Traffic will be diverted from Boulevard du Larvotto over the next few nights due to roadworks.

Following the completion of pavement resurfacing on the seafront side, Monaco’s Department of Urban Development is currently carrying out asphalt resurfacing works on Boulevard du Larvotto.

The works, scheduled between the building Le Testimonio and the French-Monégasque border, will take place from 7th to 11th October, during nighttime hours from 8pm to 6am.

During this period, traffic will be diverted via Boulevard d’Italie and Avenue Princesse Grace to accommodate the works.
