Alpes-Maritimes Prefecture to launch new walk-in information point for foreigners

No appointment? No problem. The Alpes-Maritimes Prefecture is introducing a dedicated information point for foreigners, offering assistance with administrative and residency concerns, as well as answering general questions, without the need for an appointment from 3rd March.

Getting a rendez-vous at the Prefecture can be time-consuming and stressful, especially if the assistance required is for last-minute issues or seemingly simple queries. Now there is a solution.

From 3rd March, the Alpes-Maritimes Prefecture will offer an information point specifically for foreigners, with no appointment required. This new service aims to simplify administrative procedures and provide direct support for those navigating residency matters.

People can also use the service without an appointment if they have a carte de séjour or titre de séjour that expires in less than two months or need an appointment for a paperless procedure.

Visitors can also use their trip to the Prefecture to check if residence permits are available and ready for collection, receive updates on ongoing permit renewal applications, and register requests for certificate extensions. Additionally, the information point will provide all the essential forms required for postal applications, as well as guidance on various administrative procedures.

The service will be available at the Prefecture, located at 147 Boulevard du Mercantour in Nice, during specific hours: Mondays from 1pm to 2.30pm, and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8.30am to 10am. By opening its doors without prior booking, the Prefecture hopes to streamline processes and improve accessibility for foreign residents in the region.
