Princess Charlene and the couple’s 11-year-old twins made a rare family appearance at the XXV Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 on Saturday, joining Prince Albert II for a day of curling action in the Italian Alps.
The Princely Family attended the women’s curling tournament at the Stadio Olimpico del Ghiaccio in Cortina on 14th February, watching three matches: Italy vs China, England vs Canada, and Switzerland vs Japan.
Twins experience Olympic sport
Following the competitions, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella had the opportunity to get closer to the sport during a tour of the rink-side facilities. The visit, led by Beau Welling, President of World Curling, gave the young royals hands-on experience with organisers as part of Prince Albert’s work with the IOC Legacy and Sustainability Commission.
The Prince chairs the commission, which focuses on ensuring Olympic Games deliver lasting benefits to host cities and maintain sustainable practices across venues and operations.
The family outing marks one of the twins’ public appearances at a major sporting event, with both children joining their parents at the Winter Olympics venue in Italy’s Dolomite mountains.
