Art & Luxury Fair puts craftsmanship at centre stage

Monte Carlo’s Art and & Luxury Fair is returning for its second edition from 24th to 26th September at Hotel Métropole, promising an immersive experience where visitors can observe master artisans create their works.

Under the High Patronage of Prince Albert II, the three-day event will welcome visitors daily from 14:00 to 20:00.

Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme will be present at the event as Honorary Creative Contributor. Meanwhile, Monégasque jeweller Isabelle Fissore will showcase the Princess’s stunning ‘De Parme Design’ collection, inspired by nature and featuring the exclusive Leaves collection.

This is the first high-end fair where experience is central. Forget about simply admiring finished pieces behind the glass. Here, visitors can watch world-renowned artists and craftsmen actually creating their works, offering unique access to the creative process.

The event also features exclusive tastings, daily guided tours at 14:30 and 16:00, and invite-only private evening events from 18:00 to 20:00.

International talent

The fair brings together an impressive line-up of international talent. Dutch Pop Art artist Hayo Sol, called ‘The Vincent Van Gogh of PopArt’, will display his works crafted by metallic paint, airbrush, and Swarovski crystals. Additionally, his latest ‘Weltschmerz’ series takes his art to new heights.

Following, Italian artist Claudio Sacchi, who received the Gold Medal of the President of the Republic in 2014, brings his renowned frescoes and portraits.

Dutch sculptor and Monaco resident Daphné du Barry will also present her classical figurative works, including sculptures of Monaco’s princely family.

Meanwhile, contemporary artist Jack Liemburg is set to bring his unique mixed-media works that blend photography, painting, and graphic elements.

Luxury meets tradition

Royal Delfware, crafting high-end Delf Blue since 1653, will showcase pieces including a long vase with golden eggs designed by Marcel Wanders. Following, Perrier Jouët will present ‘Ode à la Nature,’ with only 10 numbered copies available to collectors, alongside their exceptional rotating Golden Ice Bucket.

Sustainability will also feature prominently throughout the fair. ILNI creates handbags from grape leather using residual flows from Italian wine production, while Monacqua promotes recyclable water solutions for a greener Principality.

Meanwhile, Ellen Hermans transforms Tuscan alabaster into organic sculptures, and goldsmith Lotje Bosch presents handmade jewellery crafted during her master’s training at the Academy for Goldsmiths in Zeist.
