The Monaco Australia Association is hosting their annual National Day bash on Thursday, January 26, at StarDeck, the top floor of Stars’n’Bars, a partner of the organisation.

Over the last two years, more than 300 people booked for a taste of good Aussie tucker (that’s food, for the non-Aussies). The Australian barbie starts from 8:30 pm, with starters (mixed trays of mini-sausage rolls, mini-fish’n’chips, bush tucker balls) followed by grilled cheeseburger sliders, sausages and chicken drumsticks, accompanied by potato salad, coleslaw and grilled potatoes. A surprise dessert is included in the €30 ticket, although drinks – including a selection of Australian wines and beer – are not. Also, if you miss any of the courses, they will not be repeated.

Guests should RSVP by email to Beverley@theIPN.net, but payment in advance (no under-12s for this event) is required by cash or cheque at Stars’n’Bars reception, or book directly through this link.

A vegan menu is available only by reservation at info@starsnbars.com.

The evening promises fireworks, a DJ and dancing, photo calls and other surprises. In addition, AS Monaco Rugby’s team captain, Simon Profeta, and trainer, Ludovic Chambriad, will be on deck talk about the sport.

Don’t forget to dress as your favourite Australian or wear the national colours to take part in the Best Australian Look Contest.

Bar opens from 7 pm and it’ll be a late night but as Friday is a holiday in Monaco, there are no excuses not to attend.
