Monaco’s newest cultural and professional association is inviting guests to a vibrant networking evening at Nobu Fairmont Monte Carlo on Wednesday 17th September, with premium Australian wines, gourmet bites and the presence of Lynette Wood, Australian Ambassador to France and Monaco.
The recently formed Australian Association of Monaco is set to host its second major gathering, a networking and dinner event at the renowned Nobu Fairmont Monte Carlo on Wednesday 17th September, in partnership with Club Vivanova. The occasion will welcome H.E. Lynette Wood, Australian Ambassador to France and Monaco, and promises to be an evening of cultural exchange, professional connections and fine dining.
Wine, cuisine and networking in style
From 6pm, guests will enjoy a selection of Nobu’s signature bites, including tuna tacos, crispy pork belly with anti-cucho sauce, edamame and shishito peppers. These will be paired with an open bar of premium Australian wines, including a Woodlands Chardonnay and natural organic vintages from Blind Corner. The private bar setting is designed for intimate networking and discussion, with places limited to 50 attendees. Tickets are priced at €75 per person, while those wishing to extend the evening may opt for the full Omakase Classic Dinner at €175, featuring Nobu’s famed black cod and chef’s sushi selection.
Building connections through culture
The Australian Association of Monaco was launched earlier this year by Judith Hillen and Carolyn Sandoval, with the support of the Australian Ambassador Marie-Pascale Boisson. The initiative is the first of its kind in decades and aims to bring together Australians living in the Principality, as well as those with family, professional or cultural ties to the country. Its founders, both practising solicitors in Monaco, are well-placed to provide advice and community support for newcomers while creating opportunities to celebrate Australian culture.
Growing momentum after a soft launch
The Association’s soft launch took place in June at The Niwaki, where Australian wines were paired with Japanese canapés overlooking Larvotto Beach. The event was met with enthusiasm, signalling a strong appetite for an Australian social and cultural hub in Monaco. With plans already underway for future gatherings, including Australia Day and Anzac Day celebrations, the Association is shaping up to be a dynamic new player in Monaco’s international community.
