Charles Leclerc gets his wings in new ‘Supersonique’ documentary

It’s been revealed that Formula One driver Charles Leclerc is starring in a new Canal+ documentary this November, which sees the Monegasque involved in a daring airplane stunt with a fighter jet.

Charles Leclerc has built his career as a high-octane, speed-defying sports star, and now he can add another daring achievement to his list.

At the recent Sport Festival in Trento, Italy, the Team Ferrari driver hinted to his involvement in something aviation-related, but he didn’t give up any details, saying only that, “Two or three weeks ago, I did something a bit crazy with an airplane. It’s not official yet, but it will be in the coming weeks.”

Now, it has been revealed in a trailer shared on social media that Leclerc traded land-based pursuits for the heavens in an exciting new documentary called ‘Supersonique’, featuring the driver and a French fighter jet.

“For the first time in his life, Charles Leclerc will board a Rafale fighter jet to take part in a French Air Force training mission. A unique experience immortalised by the documentary Supersonique,” revealed Canal+ in the teaser.

Charles Leclerc also teased the experience on X, saying, “What an incredible opportunity Canal+ gave me to pilot such a machine. To be able to compare that speed feeling with what I usually experience in a Formula One car was very special. Stay tuned for the full experience next week.”

The film will be broadcast on 3rd November at 5pm on the Canal+ network. See the documentary’s trailer below:
