easyJet launches new winter route from Nice to Prague

easyJet is set to launch direct flights between Nice and Prague this November, offering the perfect winter escape to the Czech capital’s famous Christmas markets and Gothic landmarks.

Starting this November, easyJet will be running twice weekly flights from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport to Prague until March. The service will operate on Fridays and Sundays, giving travellers from the French Riviera increased options for a quick getaway to the Czech capital – Eurowings and Smartwings also offer direct flights on this route.

The new route taps into Prague’s enduring appeal as a travel destination. Known for its rich cultural history, the city draws visitors year-round, but it truly shines during the winter months when its famous Christmas markets come to life.

In December, the city’s squares are filled with festive stalls offering traditional Czech treats, handcrafted gifts and seasonal decorations, all set against Gothic spires. Tourists also flock to landmarks such as Prague Castle, Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, where the Christmas markets will be on daily from 30th November to 6th January.

The flights will arrive at Václav Havel Airport’s Terminal 2, providing easy access to the city centre. Travellers can reach central Prague via public transport by combining a bus (Line 119) and the metro (Line A) in about 40 minutes. For those in a hurry, taxis offer a faster 25-minute drive, and car rentals are available from the airport.
