Think of this as your reminder to soak up the last few days of the summer season in Monaco.
The summer of 2023 might not officially be over for another month, but soon, Monaco will be winding things down in preparation for autumn.
That’s not to say that there isn’t plenty to look forward to over the coming months, but the al fresco and live music nights we live for in July and August will start to become few and far between so here’s a nudge to get out and about in the Principality before the end of the month.
Pop-up bars and lounges
For those who love the ephemeral and the ever-changing, this has been a great summer.
A string of top-quality pop-up bars and lounges have reigned supreme in the central neighbourhood of Monte-Carlo, such as the Veuve Clicquot Lounge Solaire in Square Beaumarchais and the Crystal Lounge in the Excelsior Garden of the Hôtel Hermitage as well as Mada Lounge in the Jardins des Boulingrins.
The Veuve Clicquot collaboration will continue until the first day of October, but the second two will be wrapping up much sooner. Chic Crystal Lounge will round off its summer on 2nd September, while the closing night of Mada Lounge is set for 27th August.
Live music sessions
The final summer session down at Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort’s Las Brisas will be taking place this Sunday too, with live music by My Trio from noon until 3pm.
Meanwhile, Club La Vigie will host its last La Vie en Rosé event this coming Saturday. This experience features a set menu for €95 between noon and 4pm, followed by a DJ set for the next two hours and “sunset” music until the sun starts going down.
Live music nights continue here for a few days more, with acts scheduled for 27th and 29th August and 3rd September, which will be the closing night.
Down at the recently relaunched Maona, however, the Indian summer vibe is continuing well into October with the Bar Sauvage experience.
