For the Monaco Optimist Team Race at the Yacht Club de Monaco, more than 60 young sailors, all 14 years old or under, are divided into 16 teams that represent different nations from twin and reciprocal clubs from around the world. Over the four days, an average of 120 separate races are held, each calling on technique, tactics and teamwork. It’s all about fun, interaction and international exchange.
The Casino de Monte-Carlo will host the Ladies Poker Power tournament this month, with a €10,000 prize pool donation in favour of the Fight Aids Monaco association. The winner won’t walk away empty-handed though as a lunch for two at the Le Louis XV - Alain Ducasse restaurant in the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo is also on the table. Other prizes include lunch at Yannick Alléno’s Pavyllon at the Hôtel Hermitage for second place and lunch at the Grill in the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo for third.
