Football: ASM sign Kassoum Ouattara on five-year contract

AS Monaco has announcd the arrival of Kassoum Ouattara from Amiens SC. The 19-year-old French U20 international defender has signed up for five seasons and is now linked to the Principality club until June 2028.

Having trained at Amiens Sporting Club, the young left-back, also capable of playing as a left midfielder, played 10 games with the Picardy club this season before joining AS Monaco.

Born in 2004, Kassoum Ouattara made his professional debut on 20th August 2022 at the age of 17, during a victory against SC Bastia (2-1), and took part in 12 meetings during the 2022-23 fiscal year.

International U20 of the French Team

Constant progression and performances have allowed Ouattara to be regularly called up with the youth selections of the French team. First with the U18s in 2022, then immediately with the U19s and finally this season with the U20s, where he played, alongside Malamine Efekele, his first match against Denmark on September 8 (2-2) .

AS Monaco are set to take on Brest at the Stade Louis II on Sunday, kick off is 5pm.
