Football: Monaco unveil third kit in collaboration with Oceanographic Museum

Monaco third kit unveiling at the Oceanographic Museum

AS Monaco has released its third kit, an ocean-themed set named “Oceano” that was created in collaboration with the Oceanographic Museum.

Once again, Monaco have collaborated with Kappa for the 2023/24 season. Following the release of the club’s new 100% recycled home kit earlier this month, Monaco’s third kit was released during a presentation at the iconic Oceanographic Museum on the Rock on Wednesday 26th July.

This isn’t the first collaboration between the Oceanographic Museum and the Principality’s football club. Earlier this year, the two parties signed a convention in order to help amplify a collective environmentalist message.

Subtle inclusion of the iconic ‘Diagonale’

Not only was Monaco’s third kit unveiled at the Oceanographic Museum, but €5 from each shirt sale will be donated to the Oceanographic Institute in order to support conservation and mediation initiatives. The shirt will also be sold in the Museum, as well as in the club’s official shop and online. The jersey is priced at €110.

The shirt itself is also a homage to the ocean and incorporates the iconic “Diagonale” in a subtle way. The blue and white colour gradations depict a shoreline reminiscent of the Mediterranean blue lapping against the beaches of the Côte d’Azur, and is a physical representation of Monaco’s commitments to ocean preservation.

Like the recently-released home kit, Oceano is made from 100% recycled polyester, therefore meeting sustainability criteria.
