The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has appointed former French environment minister, Brune Poirson, to its Board of Directors, adding high-level public and private sector expertise to its governance.

Poirson brings a track record spanning international environmental policy and corporate sustainability. From 2017 to 2020, she served as France’s Secretary of State for Ecological Transition, where she led the Anti-Waste Law for a Circular Economy and represented France in global climate and biodiversity negotiations.

She subsequently transitioned to the private sector as Director of Sustainable Development and Executive Committee member at Accor, overseeing environmental and social strategies across nearly 110 countries.

Advancing planetary health and private-sector mobilisation

For the Foundation, her appointment deepens its core competencies in organisational transformation and private-sector mobilisation, supporting its ongoing mission to advance planetary health.
