The team of young school children from the Principality will participate in the 33rd European Road Traffic Competition in Budapest, later in September.
Composed of two girls, Pauline Cazes (FANB college), Giulia Martin (Charles III college) and two boys, Nicolas Rinaudo (Charles III College), Aaron Thoreux-Josso (FANB College), and all aged between 10 and 12, the team members were selected to take part in various events dealing with the theoretical and practical aspects of road safety.
The European Road Traffic Competition, sponsored in part by the Automobile Club of Monaco, has the support of the Directorate of National Education of Youth and Sports and the Public Security Directorate: it takes place each year in a different city of Europe.
Young competitors will have to pass practical tests in cycling, including maneuverability and respect for road signs, as well as theoretical tests based on observation and the dangers of the road. A drawing contest on the theme is unveiled at the last moment, closing the competition.
After the announcement of the results and the presentation of medals, an evening event will be held in honour of all the participants.
