Humour, glamour and stars to align at Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival

A star-studded international jury, headed up by César winner Anne Brochet, has been announced for the upcoming edition of the Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival. The event will return to the Grimaldi Forum in late November under the direction of its founder, Italian comedian Ezio Greggio.

Between 27th and 30th November, Greggio, the star of movies and shows including Drive In, Striscia la Notizia, and The Silence of the Hams, will be back in Monaco for the 21st edition of the Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival, an event he originally founded with the late filmmaker Mario Monicelli. Today, the festival is held under the patronage of Prince Albert II of Monaco and the Italian Embassy in Monaco.

Dedicated exclusively to comedy, the festival celebrates humour, farce, and satire in all their forms, aiming to promote and showcase the diversity of comedy in cinema.

This year, the festival jury will be presided over by French actress Anne Brochet, a César Award winner for her performance in Tous les Matins du Monde. Brochet is also known for her roles in Cyrano de Bergerac, Le Hérisson, and If You Don’t, I Will. She will be joined by Italian actors Federica Sabatini (Suburra: The Series, Prophecy) and Ricky Memphis (Immaturi, La Mossa del Pinguino), as well as actor, model, and writer Alain-Fabien Delon (Jours Sauvages, Les Rencontres d’Après Minuit).

The programme will feature both competitive and non-competitive screenings, a dedicated short film section, and the Short Comedy Award, recognising achievements in comedic short filmmaking. There will also be a series of public screenings and masterclasses. The event will culminate in a gala and awards ceremony on Saturday, 30th November.
