Created by Sovereign Order 7253 of 14 December 2018, Prince Albert Commemoration Committee I is responsible for the study and the organisation of events planned to celebrate the life and work of Prince Albert I, between 2019, year of the centenary of the creation of the International Commission for the Scientific Exploration of the Mediterranean Sea, and 2022, year of the centenary of its disappearance.

Under the chairmanship of HE Mr. Robert Fillon, the Executive Committee will work towards the implementation of the programme and the implementation of the events.

In his speech, HSH the Sovereign Prince emphasised: “I am convinced that a good celebration of the work of Prince Albert I st can be that like this: varied in form as in It should be addressed to different audiences: the academic world, the curious of the history of science, international relations, pacifist militancy, and all those who are interested in the Principality to another, not to mention the students and students of our schools, and of course I expect them to use the most modern production and distribution techniques, without abandoning the traditional media when they become better adapted.”
