Les Musicales de Menton: Aurélien Pascal to play at next date in Saint John’s Church

An evening of Fauré and Rachmaninov awaits later this week at the next performance in the Les Musicales de Menton series, which will feature talented cellist Aurélien Pascal.  

Saint John’s Church in Menton will be hosting a classical concert on Friday 20th October as part of the ongoing series, Les Musicales de Menton 

The concert will be performed by renowned international artists, including cellist Aurélien Pascal, who this year won the top prize at the Victoires de la Musique Classique for Best Instrument Soloist. Pianist Valentina Igoshina, who is also the recipient of various international music awards and prizes, such as those of the Arthur Rubinstein Piano Competition and the famed Rachmaninov International Piano Competition in Moscow, is scheduled to perform too. 

The night will include recitals of Sicilienne and Elégie by French composer and pianist Gabriel Fauré alongside Sonate by Russian composer and piano virtuoso Sergei Rachmaninov. 

The concert will begin at 6.30pm. Tickets cost €20 for adults and €10 for students, with a drink included.  

The concert will be followed by refreshments in the library and a chance to meet with the artists.
