Kylian Mbappe, Monaco’s 17 year-old forward, was hospitalised on Friday night after the home game against Guingamp suffering from what the club later announced as concussion. A scan indicated no long-term damage but he stayed in hospital overnight as a precaution. The neurologist will decide when he can return to play.
The Red & Whites were two goals down at half time before clawing back two goals for a draw in this the first game of the new Ligue 1 season. Subasic in goal thwarted several attempts from Guingamp, with Privat, Salibur and Briand making three attempts in quick succession.
The team will play Villarreal on August 17 in the Champions League Play-Offs.
