Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, spoke on a range of topics at the Workshop “Environment and Urbanism” during the World Committee of Women Entrepreneurs.

The event brought together nearly 300 women entrepreneurs from more than 50 countries in the Principality for two days.

One of the topics was the land extension project with a focus on Monaco’s policy of sustainable development, in particular the High Environmental Quality (HQE) approach, which has applied to all public buildings since 2008.

In the course of the debate, Minister Gramaglia also spoke on themes brought up by participants from Belgium, Tunisia, France and Italy, in connection with waste management and the place of the tree in the city.

The Minister highlighted the main aspects of waste management policy, selective sorting and energy recovery, and spoke about the implementation in 2011 of the Tree Code in Monaco.
