Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco’s Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, received Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of Luxembourg, for a bilateral meeting in Monaco on 10th April.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Frédéric Labarrère, Monaco’s Ambassador to Luxembourg, and Benjamin Valli, Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations.
According to a government statement, discussions covered current international affairs and several areas of shared interest. Berro-Amadeï outlined the priorities of Monaco’s forthcoming presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, which the Principality assumes on 15th May.
The two ministers also discussed preparations for the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Monaco and Luxembourg, due to be marked in 2027, and exchanged views on prospects for economic cooperation.
The meeting reflects the close ties between the Principality and the Grand Duchy, grounded in shared values and a sustained dialogue on major international issues.
