Monaco association Entreparents spotlights support systems for World Breastfeeding Week

The Monaco-based association Entreparents is set to host a comprehensive community day dedicated to breastfeeding, parenting, and early childhood development. Scheduled for Wednesday, 14th October from 10am to 7pm at the Maison des Associations on Promenade Honoré II, the open-format gathering will bring together expectant parents, families, and early childhood professionals to address practical guidance and peer support.

The event will provide attendees with direct access to a multidisciplinary network of family support specialists, including representatives from local nurseries, the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace (CHPG), community healthcare networks, dietitians, doulas, and psychologists.

Multidisciplinary networks and daily programming

The schedule incorporates several structured highlights, opening with morning information sessions and workshops from 10am to 4pm led by midwife and lactation consultant Brigitte Fino, alongside babywearing and baby massage demonstrations. A networking lunch break from 12pm to 2pm will connect families directly with early childhood organisations before the afternoon transitions into institutional updates.

At 4pm, a press briefing will introduce the latest 3D visual designs and proposed installation site for the Banc Lacté project. The presentation will be led by project designer Elena Bost Wicinski alongside Stefano Vivan from manufacturing agency Lab23. The day will conclude from 5pm to 7pm with a ‘Let’s Talk’ roundtable discussion hosted by Brigitte Fino, centring on the official 2026 World Breastfeeding Week theme ‘Breastfeeding: a springboard for life – supporting and strengthening what works’.

Integrating maternal health and awareness

Beyond infant nutrition, the programme features specialised instruction on hand expression techniques to assist mothers with early-stage breastfeeding, colostrum collection, and engorgement relief.

Coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the session will also integrate broader discussions on women’s health, focusing on body literacy, monitoring physical changes, and navigating health inquiries with qualified medical professionals.

Practical information

Admission to the event is free with no booking required, welcoming strollers, babies, and offering a dedicated kids’ corner. Parking is available nearby at Parking de la Colle.
