On November 25, the Principality of Monaco will be associated in a very hands-on way with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
This initiative, supported by the United Nations, will also be an opportunity to present the main initiatives and various mechanisms put in place by the State and the various associations in the Principality to combat this violence.
In addition, on November 25, 2016, a single, anonymous and free telephone number will be launched for victims of domestic violence: 116 919. An information page dedicated to victims of violence will be set up on the website of the Prince’s Government.
In order to raise public awareness, a conference on the theme “Against violence against women: all mobilised”, will take place on Friday, November 25, at 18:00, at the Auditorium of the Technical and Hotel School of Monaco, 7 Allée Lazare Sauvaigo. It will be led by Professor Alessandra Kustermann, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, an expert in the care of victims of violence. Open attendance.
