A Monegasque delegation led by HE Mr Philippe Narmino, Director of Judicial Services, President of the Council of State, and HE Mrs Carole Lanteri, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Monaco to the United Nations Office, participated in Geneva on November 11 and 14 in a dialogue with the United Nations Committee against Torture.
The purpose of the meeting was to examine the sixth periodic report of Monaco, submitted by the Government in 2015, concerning the implementation of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.
The Monegasque delegation reported in detail on the way in which the Monegasque authorities are working on the implementation of this Convention, in the context of the legislative and institutional framework of the Principality.
