By Staff Writer - October 4, 2018

Sprinkle magic on your festive season, succumb to the charms of Monaco. The Principality wants you to share in the enchantment. Unforgettable sparkles of life, mixing with those from the best champagne. Try the 2015 vintage right now… The party’s started.

Christmas & New Year in a winter wonderland

Stroll through the pretty streets and discover the Cathedral, Fort Antoine, the Old Town lanes, or the Princes’ Palace. Take a tour of the nativity scenes. Take advantage of the mild temperatures on the French Riviera to pose on the Café de Paris Monte-Carlo terrace and admire the Casino Square embellished by breathtaking Christmas decorations.

Magnificent illuminations, luxury shopping and a Christmas Market

From 5th December, Casino Square becomes a forest of Christmas trees, twinkling with thousands of lights. The Monte-Carlo Shopping Promenade is also lit up, with its head-turning luxury brands. On the Monaco port, kids will be mesmerised by the Christmas Village, with its skating rink, entertainment, parades and Christmas Market, showcasing local crafts.

Stars and Gastronomy

Local specialities sampled with a sea view, brunches, lunches and unforgettable dinners. Monaco is an outstanding gourmet destination. The Michelin-star studded restaurants of Joël Garault at Le Vistamar and Marcel Ravin at Blue Bay and Orange Verte will doubtless be everything you could wish for. But you might prefer the festive menu at the Brasserie du Café de Paris, the slightly more exotic Buddha-Bar or the extravagant menu at the Belle Epoque and Empire Rooms.

A unique New Year’s Eve.

At the Salle des Etoiles at the Sporting Monte-Carlo, the Italian trio of pop opera, Il Volo, has an unforgettable New Year’s Eve in store for you. At the Salle Blanche of the Casino de Monte-Carlo, the party is in full swing with streamers, musical entertainment, dinner and dancing. And for those who like to get their groove on into the wee hours of the night, you’ll be spoilt for choice with world-renowned DJs on the decks at the Buddha-Bar, Blue Gin and La Rascasse, three Meccas of Monaco nightlife.
