Triathlete Sara Dossena will be at the start of the 5km Herculis in the “Monaco Run supported by Laureus” on Sunday 17 February.

The multi-talented Veneto marathon runner has confirmed her participation in the Monaco event, during which she will try the new official distance of 5km on the road.

After a glorious career dedicated to the Triathlon, Dossena decided to devote herself exclusively to 5km running.

She comes to Monte-Carlo with the ambition to set the national distance record.

MonacoRun has a program of events that will take place throughout the weekend of 16 and 17 February around the port of Monaco.

For the 5km race on the road, MonacoRun aims high, joining the Herculis EBS athletics meeting, to try – on Sunday 17 February – a race that is among the fastest in the world.

In addition to the Elite race, on Sunday 17 February a City Trail of about 10km is scheduled: a unique opportunity to walk the streets of the Principality.

Saturday 16 February sees the 1000m Sport for Good event, open to everyone from eight years of age. This will take place around Port Hercule.

The Pink Ribbon Walk will take place on Sunday 17 February. It is a walk for charity and to raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer. The participants will cross the Principality strictly dressed in pink.
