AS Monaco had a very encouraging start to the Ligue 1 season with a 3-1 victory away against Nantes on Saturday, August 11.
The Monegasques scored three times in 15 minutes in the second half, with goals from Rony Lopes, Jovetic and Falcao.
Vadim Vasilyev, ASM’s vice-president, said after the game: “It’s a good start to the season, the team is not ready yet 100 percent but we have a lot of talent and quality.
“We are in the process of completing our transfer window even though Keita Balde may have to leave. It is not yet done with Inter Milan but we are discussing the terms of his departure. He will not necessarily be replaced because we have a lot young quality players,” he said.
Monaco’s next game is at home to Lille on Saturday, August 18, starting at 20:00.
