In a landmark move, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group (SBM) has joined forces with Crystal, a specialist in prestigious cruises, to inaugurate the first-ever Casino de Monte-Carlo at sea by the end of 2024. The partnership marks SBM’s inaugural international expansion in its historical gaming sector.
The agreement was formalised on 20th June at the iconic Casino de Monte-Carlo. The ceremony was attended by Pascal Camia, Chief International Development Officer of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, and Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, alongside Stéphane Valeri, Chairman and CEO of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, and Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Executive Chairman of A&K Travel Group.
The collaboration will merge SBM’s 160 years of gaming expertise with Crystal’s cruise experiences, offering passengers a unique blend of luxury and entertainment. The onboard casinos will feature a variety of games, including slot machines, Blackjack, Three Card Poker, Texas Hold’Em Ultimate, and American Roulette. The inaugural Casino de Monte-Carlo will set sail on the Crystal Symphony in November, followed by the Crystal Serenity in December, eventually expanding to all new Crystal ships, excluding expedition vessels.
“We are excited to join forces with Crystal to deliver the unique Casino de Monte-Carlo experience at sea,” said Stéphane Valeri. “With our combined expertise, we are confident that we will provide a gaming moment unlike any other in the cruise industry.”
Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio of A&K Travel Group praised the collaboration, saying, “We are delighted to welcome Casino de Monte-Carlo into the Crystal family as our newest collaborator. This affiliation symbolises our commitment to offering our guests the finest entertainment and gaming experiences available at sea.”
The first Casino de Monte-Carlo at sea will debut on 14th November aboard the Crystal Symphony, departing from Venice.
