Monte-Carlo SBM backs Riviera athlete Téo Andant

Téo Andant, the 400m World Champion silver medalist, has received important backing from Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer.

Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) announced on Tuesday 17th October that it had signed an agreement of partnership with the Monaco Athletics Federation to support the “exceptional trajectory” of young Téo Andant.

Téo Andant was born in Menton and has represented Monaco since 2023. He is a sprinter and middle-distance runner who specialises in the 400 metres.

After obtaining bronze at the European Championship in Munich, then gold (solo) at the French Championship, the 24-year-old was crowned World Champion silver medallist with the 4×400 French relay team in August.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Prince Albert II, by Stéphane Valeri, Deputy President of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, “in order to associate SBM’s values with those of high-level athletics, between individual commitment and team spirit, by always aiming higher to raise its level of performance,” together with Bernard Fautrier, Vice-President of the Monaco Athletics Federation, and Téo Andant.
