New sponsor lines up with AS Monaco

AS Monaco soccer team has announced a sponsorship partnership with tyre manufacturer Hankook, the seventh-largest tyre manufacture in the world, for an initial two-year period.

“During this period, Hankook will benefit from a strong presence in Stade Louis-II at home matches in Ligue 1 on LED signage and communication media of the club,” AS Monaco said.

“This partnership with a global brand, which has chosen AS Monaco to support its commercial development in France, demonstrates the attractiveness of the club and consolidates its reputation.”

Hankook is a partner of several major European clubs, including Real Madrid, and also of the Europa League. The company employs 22,000 people worldwide.

According to a profile on Bloomberg, Hankook Tire Co., Ltd. manufactures and sells tyres in South Korea and internationally. The company offers tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks, buses, and trucks, as well as competition tires. It provides its products primarily under the Hankook, Laufenn, Aurora, and Kingstar brands.

The company was formerly known as Chosun Tire Company and changed its name to Hankook Tire Co., Ltd. in 1953. Hankook Tire Co., Ltd. was founded in 1941 and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.
