Transavia will operate every flight between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and Paris-Orly with Airbus A320neo aircraft from 6th December, promising quieter cabins, lower emissions and improved facilities for passengers.

The next-generation aircraft consume around 15% less fuel and produce approximately 15% fewer CO₂ emissions than the models they replace, according to Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur. Their noise footprint is also up to 50% lower.

Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Executive Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, said the deployment would deliver “a substantial reduction in emissions compared with the aircraft previously operated on that route”.

The change will affect one of Nice Airport’s most important domestic routes. Passengers will find redesigned seating with wider cushions, additional personal space and individual USB ports. The aircraft also have larger tray tables and expanded overhead compartments capable of holding eight cabin bags vertically, compared with five in standard storage bins.

Transavia France Deputy Managing Director Commercial Julien Mallard said the A320neo would provide a “quieter, more modern and more comfortable” journey while supporting the airline’s efforts to reduce its environmental footprint.

Transavia took over the structured Nice–Orly service in March 2026 as part of a reorganisation of Air France-KLM’s domestic operations. The conversion of the route to the A320neo will begin on 6th December 2026.
