Noël des Animaux: Rokethon hosts annual Christmas celebration for abandoned animals at Monte-Carlo Bay

The Rokethon association will host its annual Noël des Animaux charity event on Sunday 14th December at the Monte-Carlo Bay, with all proceeds dedicated to abandoned animals and those without families during the festive season.

The event, taking place in the hotel’s Sincerity salon, brings together Monaco’s animal welfare community for a celebration that welcomes both two-legged and four-legged guests. In an exceptional arrangement, Société des Bains de Mer will allow invited guests to bring their dogs into the Monte-Carlo Bay, making the celebration fully inclusive for animal lovers and their companions.

Festive atmosphere supports animal welfare

The Sincerity salon will be transformed into a festive wonderland featuring a grand Christmas tree decorated in partnership with BricoPro Monaco. Artist Karina Garcia has created personalised Christmas baubles bearing the names of attending dogs, which will be sold to benefit the animal welfare cause. The grande Marianne will present her distinctive original bags, adding an artisanal and elegant touch to the event.

Tables throughout the salon have been carefully decorated by Rokethon volunteers, with each arrangement revealing the personality and expertise of the team members. The SPA de Monaco will join the celebration to mark Christmas alongside animal friends, continuing the partnership between the two organisations.

Entertainment and activities for all ages

The celebration will feature performances by Philip Nikwé and singer Mona Lou, who will perform beautiful Christmas carols throughout the day. A magician will enchant both children and adults, whilst BricoPro Monaco, a loyal partner of the event, will distribute gifts to all attending dogs.

Children can participate in creative workshops led by Karen September, alongside sessions teaching them how to draw dogs and cats, guided by artist Yulia. The festivities will be toasted with champagne provided by GOLD, celebrating the magic of the season together.

Chef Marcel Ravin creates special buffet

Guests will enjoy a refined buffet created by Chef Marcel Ravin. The two Michelin-starred chef, who leads the Blue Bay restaurant at the Monte-Carlo Bay, has designed a menu that reflects the festive spirit whilst supporting the cause of abandoned and forgotten animals during the Christmas period.

Rokethon’s commitment to animal welfare

Founded by Sylvia Sermenghi, Rokethon has become an established force in Monaco’s animal welfare landscape since its creation. The association’s mission centres on promoting responsible pet ownership, fighting against animal abandonment and supporting shelters that work daily to care for homeless animals.

Beyond the annual Christmas celebration, Rokethon organises the popular solidarity walk that brings together hundreds of dogs and their owners to raise awareness about animal abandonment. The organisation has built strong partnerships with the SPA de Monaco and other animal welfare groups across the region.

The Noël des Animaux represents a key moment in Rokethon’s calendar, bringing together the animal welfare community whilst raising crucial funds. All money raised through the sale of personalised baubles and other contributions will go directly to supporting abandoned animals and those awaiting adoption, ensuring that vulnerable pets are not forgotten during the festive season.
