Audiences will have the rare opportunity to see three exclusive performances in Monaco, where emotional intensity meets the brilliance of world-class dancers. A true highlight of the cultural season, this is an event not to be missed.

Under the summer lights of Monaco, an iconic love story returns to the stage with breathtaking force. Grace, tragedy, and raw emotion intertwine as one of the world’s most celebrated ballet companies brings a timeless masterpiece to life.

In a prestigious co-production between the Grimaldi Forum Monaco and the Monaco Dance Forum—renowned for bringing to Monaco companies rarely seen outside their home venues—La Dame aux Camélias is set to captivate audiences through its powerful storytelling and poetic movement. Performed by the dancers of the Ballet de l’Opéra national de Paris, one of the most prestigious institutions in the world, and accompanied by the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo under the direction of Vello Pähn, this production promises an exceptional artistic experience where music and dance merge in perfect harmony.

Choreographed by John Neumeier, this celebrated ballet revisits the tragic fate of Marguerite Gautier, the heroine of Alexandre Dumas fils, while weaving in echoes of Manon Lescaut. By intertwining these two literary figures, Neumeier deepens the emotional and psychological intensity of the story. Set to the music of Frédéric Chopin, performed live by solo pianists Michal Bialk and Frédéric Vaysse-Knitter, the ballet unfolds in a rich visual world of elegant costumes and shifting moods, where memories, dreams, and reality blend seamlessly.

Since entering the Paris Opera repertoire in 2006, it has remained a landmark of romantic ballet, celebrated for both its virtuosity and emotional depth.
