Photos: Ribco and Brooks Brothers host joint reception during Monaco Yacht Show

Greek performance boatbuilder Ribco and American fashion house Brooks Brothers teamed up during the Monaco Yacht Show, co-hosting a reception for more than 300 guests at the Yacht Club de Monaco.

The event was held at the Brooks Brothers boutique overlooking Port Hercule, and featured the latest model from Ribco’s high-speed luxury fleet — the Venom 40 SC — on display nearby.

Makis Marinis, director of Ribco Monaco, said the show had once again proved a valuable opportunity to connect with clients and showcase new models. “The Monaco Yacht Show is always a highlight for us,” he said. “It’s a great chance to speak directly with owners, designers, and industry leaders.”

The collaboration between the two brands, both rooted in craftsmanship and heritage, brought a more lifestyle-focused edge to the traditionally yacht-centred event. Konstantinos Tsouvelekakis, a shareholder in both Ribco Monaco and Brooks Brothers Monaco, said the setting was ideal for introducing both brands to a wider local and international audience. “The Yacht Club offers a perfect mix of residents, guests, and members,” he said.

Founded in Athens in 1994, Ribco specialises in rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) designed for speed and seaworthiness. The brand now operates across several markets, including France, Italy, the UK and the US. Brooks Brothers, established in 1818, is considered one of the longest-running clothing retailers in the US and is known for its classic tailoring and historical ties to American politics.

While the Monaco Yacht Show remains focused on the superyacht industry, with new launches, tenders and brokerage activity, side events like this are increasingly common. For many, they offer a chance to explore the lifestyle that accompanies yacht ownership — from fashion and travel to fine dining and design.
