Pink Ribbon Monaco donates €10,000 to CHPG

Princess Charlene, honorary president of Pink Ribbon Monaco, kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a special event at Café de Paris on 4th October.

On Friday 4th October, Princess Charlene joined the Pink Ribbon Monaco team and its supporters at a symbolic cocktail event on the Café de Paris terrace. From its vantage point overlooking Casino Square, the event marked the launch of the charity’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities, which saw some 20 iconic buildings and monuments across the Principality, including the world-famous Casino, illuminated in pink.

The funds will go towards efforts to promote early detection and breast cancer awareness. Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer CEO Stéphane Valeri was also present at the gathering, as was Céline Cottalorda, Monaco’s Interministerial Delegate for Women’s Rights.

Founded in 2011, Pink Ribbon Monaco was the first association in the region to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each October, the charity asks landmarks in Monaco, such as the Palais Princier, to light up their façades in pink in tribute to breast cancer sufferers.
