The Moretti Fine Art gallery on Monaco’s Avenue de la Costa recently opened a remarkable collaborative exhibition, She Said Yes, that features the works of artists Eva Claessens and Julian Lennon. Among the standout pieces is Lennon’s enchanting black and white portrait series of Princess Charlene of Monaco.
The exhibition, which is being presented by Natasha Girardi until 6th December, is a profound visual dialogue that weaves Claessens’ marble sculptures and ethereal paintings together with the evocative photography produced by Lennon, the elder son of late Beatle John Lennon and a close friend of Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Paired in this way, in this setting, their work exudes an atmosphere of serene abstraction and quiet optimism; the interplay of their creations highlights their shared ability to capture fleeting moments with precision and grace. Both artists delve into themes of form and formlessness, exemplified by the juxtaposition of Claessens’ marble sculpture L’Amour and Lennon’s cloudscape Heaven’s Above from his Atmospheria collection.
Among the highlights of the exhibition are Lennon’s acclaimed portrait series of Princess Charlene and Claessens’ Embrace collection.
She Said Yes touches on themes of renewal and connection; Lennon’s photographs of blooming white and yellow roses and Claessens’ reimagined still life works in marble and tondo form offer delicate, uplifting portrayals of beauty and hope. Each piece resonates with fragility, inviting viewers to pause and reflect.
The exhibition will be on show at Moretti Fine Art until 6th December. For more information, click here.
