Monaco’s footballers scored their first win of the season, away against Nantes. The only goal of the match came from Monaco’s Gabriel Boschilia with a direct shot to the net in the 25th minute.

Coach Leonardo Jardim had fielded a junior team for the second game of the Ligue 1 season, keeping back the big guns for Tuesday’s second leg of the Champions League confrontation with Villarreal at home. ASM won the first meet 2-1.
