Saint Charles swimming pool prepares to reopen later this month

Monaco’s popular indoor swimming pool, the Piscine Saint Charles, has been closed since July, but the public facility will be reopening later this month.

The Piscine Saint Charles will reopen on 21st October following the latest round of infrastructure improvement projects, which saw the indoor pool shuttered for nearly three months.

The pool was closed on 15th July to allow for the installation of various technical equipment designed to enhance comfort and convenience for the public. The establishment had been open for just over a year, following a massive year-long refurbishment completed in June 2023.

Some of the most recent works included the installation of a new heat pump system, which will speed up the process of raising the water temperature for baby swimming courses, as well as improvements to the central control and treatment rooms.

Once open again, the pool will offer a full schedule, including regular lap swimming times, adult classes such as Aqua Power, Aqua Trampo and Aqua Relax, and kids’ favourites like Aqua Mermaid and Aqua Dolphin for those aged six and older.
