Team Monaco finished sixth in the final at the E1 Lake Como GP 2026 on Sunday, securing the team’s first-ever qualification for a final in only their second race weekend in the UIM E1 World Championship. The result moves them two places up the overall standings to seventh, ahead of the next round in Dubrovnik on 12th June.
The weekend’s highlight came in qualifying, where the team posted third place — a result that underlined the progress made since their debut in Jeddah in January. Pilots Oban Duncan and Maxime Nocher shared the cockpit across the weekend at Villa d’Este on Lake Como.
The pilots
Duncan, 20, is the youngest competitor in the championship. Originally from Scotland, she joined Team Monaco from Team Drogba Global Africa and has previously earned the PIF Pilot of the Season Award. Nocher, a French professional kitesurfer based in Monaco, brings a different kind of pedigree to the team: 11 world championship titles, 10 European titles and 15 French national titles in kitesurfing, alongside a reputation for technical precision at high speed on water.
Team Monaco is based at the Yacht Club de Monaco and competes under a sustainability mandate aligned with the E1 series’ broader focus on electric marine technology.
What’s ahead
The championship resumes in Dubrovnik on 12th to 13th June, followed by a home race in Monaco on 17th to 18th July. The second half of the season takes the series to Luanda, Lagos, Miami and the Bahamas before concluding in November.
