Volunteers needed for Monaco stage of the 2024 Tour de France

Ahead of this year’s Tour de France, the Monaco Government is looking to recruit a fleet of volunteers to assist with the running of the final stage, which will be held locally.

The 111th edition of the Tour de France will be rather different to those of past years due to the concurrent Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

For the first time since its inception, the race will not be finishing in the French capital, but instead in the south of France.

Following a start in the Italian city of Florence on 29th June, the peloton will trace a modified route through France before heading back down south to the Principality of Monaco, which will be hosting the start line of the final stage on 21st July. The world-famous race will ultimately end on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.

This fortunate turn of events for local fans of the iconic sporting event means that not only will they get a chance to witness history on their doorstep, but some will even be able to become an official part of the proceedings.

The Monegasque government recently put out a call for adult volunteers who would like to assist with the organisation of the event. Interested parties can get in touch with the organising committee in Monaco via directionstadelouis2@gouv.mc or by telephone on +377 92 05 40 12. The deadline has been set for 20th March.
