Monaco’s swimming federation and AS Monaco Natation have announced the launch of the first Champions’ Trophy and the third International Water Polo Tournament.
From Friday, October 7 until Sunday, October 9, under the presidency of HSH Prince Albert, several events will be open to the public at Stade Louis II. Four prestigious teams from the world of water polo will compete for the opening event of the season, the Champions’ Trophy: Pro Recco (Italy), VK JUG (Croatia), Olympiakos (Greece), and Wasserfreunde Spandau (Germany).
Teams from France and Switzerland will join Monaco for the Water Polo Tournament. Tickets are available at €10 for the day and €15 for the weekend (12 matches). Children under-12 admitted free of charge. More info at email@example.com.
Faced with a strong Serbian team, the Roca boys had to wait until the end of the match to taste victory in the Euroleague, balancing the books ahead of their game against Moscow on Friday.
Charles Leclerc secured an impressive fourth place amidst a carnival atmosphere at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, as Verstappen took the victory to extend his championship lead.
AS Monaco produced a dominant first-half display to ensure a comfortable victory against a lacklustre Montpellier side at the Stade Louis II on Sunday.
Formula 1 hotshot Charles Leclerc is backing fellow Monegasque racer Clivio Piccione in a new eco-friendly electric karting championship for up-and-coming racing talent.
Leclerc started the race in 14th but by lap 66 had passed Vettel for fourth place. Vettel came back and they had a small crash, but it was enough to leave Vettel with a puncture and Leclerc without suspension. Both seem happy to lay blame at the other’s doorstep. “Seb went around the outside but I left the space and then he squeezed me to the inside,” said Leclerc to The Guardian. Vettel lashed back that he “didn’t have space on the right and tried to pass.” A big mess all around. The Ferrari debrief session was no doubt unpleasant for both pilots, though diplomatic Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto restrained himself from placing blame publicly on either man at this point. The final race of the season will be held on Sunday 1st December at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
