The Institut Audiovisuel de Monaco at the Théatre des Variétés is hosting a screening of The Dead. The film is an adaptation of the short story of the same name by James Joyce, which was first published in 1914 as a story in Dubliners. The drama film – set in Dublin in 1904 – was directed by John Huston, written by his son Tony, and stars his daughter Anjelica and Donal McCann. An international co-production, it was Huston’s last as director, and it was released several months after his death.
The film will be shown at 8pm in its original format in English with subtitles.
